How to Build Agentic Workflows with n8n
This week’s video is a little different. I wanted to share something more practical, so I made a tutorial on how I use n8n to build agentic workflows that I use in my daily life:
This can be followed step-by-step for you to make your own agent systems and automations for everything from task management to learning coaches to news summaries and more!
n8n is a really cool low-code tool that’s accessible to anyone, no matter your level of technical expertise, and is a great introduction to the concepts you’ll need to build more advanced AI systems. I hope it’s helpful!
What I’m Reading
I’ve been deliberately carving out more space for reading in the last few months, from non-fiction to sci-fi. Here are some of my recommendations:
The Staff Engineer's Path: A Guide for Individual Contributors Navigating Growth and Change - This is such a comprehensive resource for anyone wanting to move up in their career on the IC path. Even if you’re far away from Staff level, I highly recommend this so you can start thinking about the kinds of skills and thought processes that are valuable at higher levels.
Buy Back Your Time - I am not kidding when I say this book changed my life, and I’m confident it will be one of the most important books I’ve read in my entrepreneurial journey. If you manage a team, have ambitious goals, or simply want more time for things you care about, this book is worth checking out.
Piranesi - This is a fiction book that is best enjoyed with zero prior context. Just read it.
A Better Death: Conversations about the art of living and dying well - If you’ve seen any of my prior reading lists, you’ll notice I read a lot of books from doctors and people close to the dying. I find mortality reminders to be one of the most motivating and beautiful ways to spend my time, and this book is no exception.
Children of Time - Really fun sci-fi. I never thought I’d be so invested in super-evolved spiders.
Book 1:1 Coaching Before Prices Increase
Like I shared in last week’s newsletter, I’m launching a learning community in a couple of months!
This will be a place where you can ask questions and get feedback from me in a group setting for an affordable rate. I’m still working out the exact details, but it’ll definitely include a-sync and live support, learning resources, accountability, and networking.
I’m sharing this because I’m excited, but also to give you a heads up: Once the community launches, my rates for one-on-one coaching will go up significantly. So, if you want to meet to discuss your career individually, I’d highly recommend booking now!
Thank you all for your support. I’m really looking forward to this and I hope it will be helpful. <3
